Aurora
The mach 6 craft is a replacement to the SR-71. Thought to be powered by liquid methane, the Aurora has a "doughnuts on a rope" contrail and supposedly requires a huge airfield to land. Much controversy remains of this unacknowledged aircraft - some believe the Aurora is really a UAV while other believe the program has been an abject failure, thereby forcing the reactivation of the SR-71. Still others believe that the whole program is just disinformation.
Here is a Rumor i heard out ther don't know if it's true though.
BLACKS CAN LOSE VOTING RIGHTS IN 2007! PASS THIS ON TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN!
I am wondering if anyone out here knows what the significance of the year 2007 is to Black People? Did you know that the right to vote will expire in the year 2007? Seriously! The Voters Rights Act signed in 1965 by Lyndon B. Johnson was just an ACT. It was NOT made a LAW!!!! In 1982 Ronald Reagan amended the Voters Rights Act for only another 25years. Which means that in the year 2007 blacks could lose the right to vote! Does anyone realize that Blacks/African Americans are the only group of people who require PERMISSION under the United States Constitution to vote? In the year 2007 Congress will once again convene to decide whether or not Blacks should retain the right to vote (crazy, but true). In order for this to be passed, 38 states will have to approve an extension. In my opinion and many others, this is ludicrous! Not only should the extension be approved, but also the Act must be made a law. Our right to vote should no longer be up for discussion, review and/or evaluation. We must contact our Congresspersons, Senators, Alder persons, etc., to put a stop to this! We have come too far to let the government make such a huge step backward. As bona fide citizens of the United States, we cannot "drop the ball" on this one! So please, let us push forward to continue building the momentum towards gaining equality. I urge all of you that are able, to contact those in government that have your vote and will be voting on this issue.
What is a super volcano?
A super volcano is the most destructive force on this planet. Only a few exist in the world and when they erupt they do so with a force tens of thousands of times greater than other eruptions. They lie dormant for hundreds of thousands of years as a vast reservoir of magma builds up inside them before finally they unleash their apocalyptic force, capable of obliterating continents. They threaten the survival of mankind.
What happened during the last eruption of a super volcano?
The last eruption of a super volcano was in Toba, Sumatra, 75,000 years ago. It had 10,000 times the explosive force of Mount St. Helens and changed life on Earth forever. Thousands of cubic kilometres of ash was thrown into the atmosphere - so much that it blocked out light from the sun all over the world. 2,500 miles away 35 centimetres of ash coated the ground. Global temperatures plummeted by 21 degrees. The rain would have been so poisoned by the gasses that it would have turned black and strongly acidic. Man was pushed to the edge of extinction, the population forced down to just a couple of thousand. Three quarters of all plants in the northern hemisphere were killed.
Where are there other super volcanoes?
Not all super volcanoes have been found, but one of the largest is in Yellowstone Park, USA. Scientists searching for the caldera in the park could not see it because it was so huge - only when satellite images were taken did the scale of the caldera become apparent - the whole park, 85km by 45km, is one massive reservoir of magma. The idyll landscape of Yellowstone (below) could soon explode with devastating consequences.
